galleries will tell you they only work with certain established artist, or the work you do is not what they cater to. You can knock yourself out trying to find a gallery. Art is a very competitive field. If you have a film you want to launch is also a million headaches. Don’t get me wrong I love art for art sake. For me it is hard to put a price tag on art because people don’t have any idea of the expenditures. Not only the supplies for a painting, the canvas, paints and brushes,
but the time you spend on it. What is worth ? a work of art is worth what the artists asks. You spent years in art schools, you invested time and money. Then someone comes along and says to you, I want it, just give it to me free. This happens all the time with people you know. Then again have you made a name for yourself ? You need a publicist, a press agent, art critic to make it.
